Today's the Day!

Enoch and I have our 20-week ultrasound today! I haven't been able to stop thinking about it, not only because we find out the little parasite's gender, but we also get to talk to our doctor about the results from our maternal serum screening which gives us an idea of how likely the baby will have down syndrome, trisomy 18, and spina bifida. It's also always exciting to see the baby and hear the heartbeat. Maybe I'll be able to confirm that the little bubbles and bumps I've been feeling lately are actually the baby moving, and not just pregnant stomach rumbling.

Also, we've gotten our first snow of the season. I just snapped this pic from my front window a few minutes ago. It's actually still snowing, but the flakes are too small to show up in the picture. To be honest, I'm not looking forward to winter and snow; I hate driving in it! However, I am glad that I'm not going to be super pregnant during the heat of summer, or at least I've been told that I should be happy about it from others who have had fall babies (Mom...Britta). Oh well, maybe this means we can have another white Christmas, how's that for looking at the glass half full!
