I am constantly taken aback by how quickly Isaac has grown! He looks like this now but, believe it or not,...
...he used to look like this! Can you believe how small he was?
I realized recently that I never really shared pictured from when Isaac was a newborn, and what better way to do that than our familee blog?
This is one of my favorite pictures from the hospital. It was taken right after Isaac was born, I was still recovering from delivery. Enoch looks so genuinely happy to see Isaac, and it almost looks like they're old friends.
This one was taken right before the last pic, as soon as we left the OR.
I barely remember a lot of the delivery, but I do remember the first time I held my son, and this is it. I was so tired, and a little distracted/overwhelmed by everything that had just happened but I will cherish this moment as long as I live.
Enoch stayed night and day at the hospital (four days total) in spite of being in the middle of a semester at school. I would, once again, like to point out how small Isaac used to be
There is a much-loved picture of Dan holding a newborn Enoch on the mantle at his parent's house. We were trying to re-create the picture with the next generation. Unfortunately I don't have the original one of Dan to show here, but we got pretty close.
Last day in the hospital, time to go home!
We had a lot of visitors over the first few weeks and I didn't get pictures of everyone. However, we did snap this of Abi and Isaac because they're pretty close in age
Here's my dad helping Frankie hold "Baby Isaac". She adored him and was so cute with him.
Jenny, Chris, and Johnny. They brought tons of clothes and have been a huge help when I have questions about how to handle Isaac
Kris actually went above and beyond and stayed with us for about three weeks after Isaac was born. She stepped in and helped cook, clean, and even took over "daddy duties" a couple nights when Enoch went back to school
Enoch would sometimes read his textbooks out loud to help soothe Isaac. I know he didn't always retain the information as well as he could have if he was studying in another way, but it worked well and they enjoyed their bonding time
