Yay, pics from our trip to Washington! (so what if they're from last May...) Mom and Garrett and I flew to Battle Ground, Washington for a few days (Enoch was in school) to visit my grandparents and aunts and uncles. I took a bunch of pictures of their house; they helped design it and it's tucked away in the backcountry so it's quiet and peaceful. In fact, you quite literally have to go over the river and through the woods to get to their house! While we were there we went to Seattle to see my uncle Matthew (not to be confused with Matthew in Manhattan), and spent some time at Pike's Fresh Market, then had the tastiest fish and chips at Spuds. We also went to Tillamook in Oregon where we toured the Tillamook factory, and down the road saw the nation's shortest lighthouse at Cape Meares. One of my favorite destinations was Powell's bookstore in Portland. They don't call it the City of Books for nothing! I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. Thanks to everyone for trip, it was a blast and I hope to go again soon!
This is my grandparent's house from the front. It's set down on a hill and you can see all of my grandpa's flowers and trees from the upstairs windows.
Here's a pic of a stretch of their driveway, it continues uphill from there. Apparently last winter my grandpa's truck was the only vehicle that could go up and down the driveway in the snow. They had to plow it themselves, too. Glad I have an HOA for that!
Some of Grandpa's flowers, he told me what they are, but I don't remember.
This is a (not so little) playhouse that they got from their neighbor. They have it set on the hill in front of their house and it almost looks full size from the right angle. Grandma lovingly told me that's where Enoch and I could stay when we visit next, and although it looks cozy from the outside, there's nothing but leaves and bugs on the inside. Thanks!
One of my favorite parts of the house is Grandpa's topen library upstairs; it's just floor to ceiling books! Also, he is a Disney fanatic (and especially classic Disney, like Mickey Mouse)! I don't think my pictures do his obsession justice, I'm just stating it here because you're likely to see a lot of it from here.
Like this, for instance! These are original cells from the movies.
Another shot of the library, the bookcase wraps around the wall, but the rest of the room is open, like a loft area. I love it!
Here are the chickens they keep in the backyard.
This is a view of the trees in the front yard.
Here's Nuka, my grandpa's dog. She is adorable, but while we were there she got lonely and kept howling and howling so Mom and I had to take her out of her dog run and play with her which is harder than it sounds when she's as big as we are and muddy!
See what I mean?
I have a lot more pictures from this trip, but I'll write new posts for them because it's hard to organize a million images in one sitting! Thanks to those of you who read this!

Such a beautiful home! I was going to say, you don't even look pregnant, but then I read on and realized they were from last May so I guess I saved myself from embarassment there!
